We were setting up a tent near the old stone wall when Marcus looked down at his arm. His watch screen turned solid red. His skin started blistering underneath the strap.
He looked at me and said he couldn't remember why we'd come to Spain. He couldn't remember his own dog's name. I'm sitting in the car now. He's in the passenger seat, staring out the window. His eyes are glazed over like cloudy glass.
